Items We are Happy to ACCEPT

Clothing, Shoes, Bed and Bath:

• Clothing: all sizes and styles for children, men and women
• Clothing Accessories: hats, mitts, scarves, ties, belts, nylons, socks, underwear, purses, wallets, fanny packs, bags
• Bed and Bath: towels, sheets, blankets, pillows, curtains, tablecloths
• Shoes and Boots: all types

Household Goods and Small (no larger than 18”x18”x18” per item) Miscellaneous items:

• House Wares: glassware, silverware, mugs, pots, pans, utensils, china cups, vases, dishes, cutlery, stemware
• Small Electrical: toasters, radios, power tools, irons, blenders, mixers, small stereos, CD players
• Miscellaneous:  hand tools, small garden tools, toys, games, puzzles, jewelry, crafts, stuffed animals, baskets, ornaments, candles, pictures/frames, small sports items
• Books and other : books (hardback and paperback), magazines, records, tapes, CD's, videos, DVD's and computer software

Household Goods must be in “ready to use” or new condition. Please, no broken or repairable items.  
This is not an exclusive list of all acceptable  items; please contact us with any questions regarding what additional items might fit under this category.

Getting your Donations Ready:

• Separate the clothing, accessories, linens from the household goods
• Please put everything into heavy plastic bags (up to 33 gallon) or boxes
• Please, clearly label everything GivSmart; (we don't want to take the wrong thing by mistake)
• Put your donations out, in a dry location, before 9:00 a.m. on the day of pick-up

Items we CANNOT Pick-up

Due to reasons of liability, health, handling and market issues, items GivSmart LLC will not be able to pick-up includes, but is not limited to:

• Weapons and Explosives
• Hazardous Waste
• Construction Materials
• Flammable Products
• Large Household Appliances
• Automobile Parts
• Food
• Cribs, Car Seats, High Chairs, Baby Bathtubs
• Mattresses and Box Springs
• Televisions and Computer Monitors (tube types; however, LCD and LED are OK)
• Sleeper Sofas, Couches, Loveseats, Recliners
• Hutches, Armoires, Large Bookcases, Cabinets, Large Entertainment Centers

While this “cannot pick-up” list addresses most issues, it is NOT inclusive of all possible items, so we reserve the right to not accept items not included on this list.
Please consult our "Resources" page for organizations that may take items we are unable to pick-up. If in doubt, please don't hesitate to contact us with questions. We want to help you find the highest possible use for all of your surplus items and minimize the use of landfills.
